I often stop to watch a little of the news coming out of Mexico on the Mexican stations. I can't understand a word they are saying, but I really would like to. I think they should do subtitles in English and Vietnamese. In fact, I think I may have to sue. Lets all sue.

I am serious!

Can't you just switch cable companies?

You know choice and competition the American way?
Where I live, you can't switch cable companies. Time Warner is the ONLY game in town...if you don't have cable with Time Warner, you don't have cable. I don't have the option of switching to satellite because I'm a dirty filthy RENTER and I can't put up a dish.

Choice? Competition? Not as far as cable TV is concerned...not in this state anyway.

What is there to make a mistake about? He stated "a significant percentage of Hispanics do not read or even write English."

I am SICK of hearing commercials in spanish! I am also equally sick of EVERY product I buy being duel-labled. I wonder what the costs are that are passed along to us by manufacturers to pay for the additional ink required/

I heard the Federal, local, and state govts are spending BILLIONS each year to print all forms in English and spanish!!!!!!

How many businesses have been sued for not offering spanish instructions etc? I think it is time for equality in the media. I would like subtitles now.

On the lighter, refreshing side: I just got off the phone with Penndot (PA's D.O.T.) and my menu selections were: Press 1 for English or press 2 for a FOREIGN language! :-)

We also have to take into account the U.S has no official language. English is just the most widely spoken.
