She's illegal
She's working....With kids
Leaves nephew to burn i car....
She's free because she is not a threat & gets bail.
I see she is out on bond right now. Since she is in this country illegally and she is the perpetrator of this heinous negligence why is that? What possible justification would there be for her to be out on bond with her being guilty of both of those things?
If an American did that; he'd being in some real trouble. Sheesh!
Though I find all the cases of kids dying in hot cars deplorable, did want to point out that many Americans do this every year and many of them face no charges and it is just labeled a horrific accident. Most people who even are charged and convicted face no jail time either unless it is a care giver like a day care provider, which is a double standard IMO. A parent or relative, like this aunt should be held just as responsible for the babies and children in their care as professional caregivers.
I do feel this woman should be jailed and deported. It is horrible and I'm sure she feels terribly about what occurred but she should be deported.

How is she able to work?
Let alone with kids again.

Who would trust her with their kids? I sure wouldn't. There should be no question about her being deported. A few months in prison first wouldn't hurt either.
Maybe she qualifies for DACA? You know, the program where all is forgiven. Or did she utter the words "I'm a DREAMer" which gets you an automatic release?
Geeeez, if that was a US citizen they would be in jail for second degree murder.
I certainly hope the parents of the kids at the daycare realize the extensive background checks the place does on it's employees (sarcasm).
You are assuming that it was a licensed "day care center".
