Makes you wonder about those reports that fewer are coming. It's not as though they're counting the ones who survive, but they can count the corpses. The number of corpses is up -- that would indicate that more are coming and more are getting through.

The more the politicians promise amnesty and great rewards to those who come here illegally, of course more will come to get in on it.

Deadly crossing: Death toll rises among those desperate for the American Dream - Open Channel

According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, this part of the border has seen a sharp rise in both rescues and deaths of people crossing the border illegally. So far in 2012, agents have rescued more than 310 people, and found nearly 150 dead in the Rio Grande Valley -- an increase of more than 200 percent over the last fiscal year.

This comes as migration across the U.S.-Mexico border has dropped to historic lows, falling nearly 62 percent over the last five years, according to numbers recently released by CBP. But the proportion of deaths to apprehensions is rising -- suggesting that while fewer are crossing, more are dying.

No one is counting how many are coming over. There is absolutely no evidence that illegal border crossings are down, in fact the higher number who didn't make it would indicate many more are illegally crossing.
