The USA is not taking any measure. Promising illegals dream acts and amnesties is certainly not about discouraging them from coming. Nor is halting all deportations and letting them all stay about trying to discouraging them.
It's now proven that it's not about jobs in the USA because illegals were pouring over the border when unemployment rates were sky high and their own country had very low unemployment rates.
It's time to cut off all welfare handouts like Medicaid and food stamps to illegals and their anchors. Without all the free government handouts, most of these people cannot make it here with our very high cost of living.
Canada has a system that WORKS and they dont worry about deporting illegals at all. Romney doesnt have to "come up with a way to do it" Canada already has. Illegals who try to find work there quickly learn that they can not be hired without a certified work permit. No permit = no job. Hiring an alien with no permit = jail time and fines to the employer..... WHY CANT WE DO THIS HERE......? .The solution is easy and Romney touched on it .

The problem would be illegal immigrants working under the table instead especially in these mom and pop businesses. Another question would be could these work permits be easily faked?

The one most important thing we can do is put an end to birthright citizenship. If there's no one who qualifies for welfare, food stamps, Medicaid, etc., that would take care of a lot of problems.

Totally agree. I think that is more of a magnet than jobs.

Our citizenship should not be made a mockery of by allowing newborns of illegal immigrants to become citizens at birth so that still needs to change because that means they are allowed to remain in this country. As for welfare there should be at least one qualifying citizen parent to tap into that. The child should not be the qualifier but then the ACLU would come out of the woodwork and it would open up a whole new can of worms. Better to change/re-interpret birthright citizenship.
