Some say there is no way to deport the zillions of illegal aliens here. They may be right and even Romney says we should use other ways to make them self deport and solve our problem. If laws are the answer why cant we have a simple law that says NO ILLEGAL SHALL POSSESS, HAVE, USE , TRANSFER OR IN ANY WAY USE AMERICAN MONEY. That would stop them from working here period. It would also be illegal for any american to give an illegal alien money. The stores would need IDs too. The illegals have no business having any USA money and that is the point. If the are from mexico they should only have pesos in their pockets.

So is anybody from a foreign country allowed to visit America and spend American money here? Because that's what you're proposing. If somebody from Mexico who has legitimate reasons for being in the U.S. (business, tourism, etc.) shows his or her Mexican ID, he or she would be denied the right to buy anything?

I think the idea is a bit silly, the OP was referring to ILLEGAL aliens... not legals..

Because that would pretty much destroy the US position as the reserve currency...

No, I have to have a passport, Mexican travelers do to. I kind of like the idea. If I use a CC I have to show id. I don't have a problem with showing id, neither should someone on vacation.
It just doesn't add up. We have been told that to help our economy grow we need american dollars circulating as was the reason for the stimulus incentives we have received..OK I agree But why is it when we want some place like Afghanistan or Iraq or some poor African nation to grow and flourish we flood their economy with free US cash and not the currency that is used in their country? Why is it a company in Iraq run by Iraq people just got to have US CASH and not their own money? Makes no logic to me.
European immigrants are hardly even on the radar scale anymore.
