Sean Hannity said Thursday he has “evolved” on immigration and now supports a “pathway to citizenship.” Hannity told his radio listeners Thursday afternoon that the United States needs to “get rid of the immigration issue altogether.”
“It’s simple to me to fix it,” Hannity said. “I think you control the border first. You create a pathway for those people that are here — you don’t say you’ve got to go home. And that is a position that I’ve evolved on. Because, you know what, it’s got to be resolved. The majority of people here, if some people have criminal records you can send them home, but if people are here, law-abiding, participating for years, their kids are born here, you know, first secure the border, pathway to citizenship, done.”
“You can’t let the problem continue — it’s got to stop,” the conservative radio host added.
The no "amnesty" crowd keeps getting smaller every year.
I guess someone got to him just like they did Lou Dobbs on this issue. Dobbs had the misfortune of a bullet hitting his house though with his wife close by. He disappeared off of CNN after that and changed his tune about illegal immigration. Hmm. Will Hannity be next?
One person and the whole crowd is getting smaller every year?

Do you really think adding millons of non-English speaking, low skilled migrants to our economy when millions of Americans are unemployed is fair or just?
We tried amnesty before. American wages fell and income inequality vastly increased during that period. If Mexicans want a better life for themselves they should demand it from their leaders not ours. Why should our immigration laws be decided by foreigners who broke them? And now only want our citizenship largely so they can get American taxpayer funded welfare benefits?
It's an astute observation and position for Hannity to take; however, I suspect it simply allows him and other conservatives strategic positioning. The writing's on the wall and continuing to alienate a fast growing section of the electorate, that's killing them in elections, strikes me as posturing to prevent the Democrats from keeping the GOP permanently in the wild.
If the Dem's pass reforms (the conservatives see it coming) they can claim they were on the right side and neutralize the current argument. If they don't pass the reforms, they'll rail against them.
Should be interesting; however, I'll reserve judgment until I see a pattern of caring emerge.
