sorry, you, as an american feel the need to question my integrity. and will seem to never respect my feelings.
I never said being American was a race.. Unless you count Native-Americans.

Personal opinion.....I believe....that it's time we did away with the hyphenation of names. It serves no purpose other then to foster devisiveness....We are AMERICANS. period...regardless of our country of ethnic origin....Italian-American, Mexican-American, African-American, German-American or in my case Scots-Irish-English-French-German-Spanish-Italian-Norwegian-American.

How bout we just all become Americans with one common goal.....that of making our country stronger and better.

I'd much rather prefer to refer to myself my Ethnicity first, I'm proud of my heritage and my nationality.

There is nothing wrong with being proud of your heritage....BUT....that serves to set you apart from other Americans and helps to create bigotry.....

I am an American of Scots-irish etc etc etc heritage. but my first loyalty is to my country. AMERICA

I am a first generation native born American on my father's side.....he is an immigrant from Hungary, do I call myself Hungarian-American? Of course not: I am simply an 'American'

Big deal. I'm first generation born in America on my father's side and the only time I bring out my ethnicity is when people can't figure out where my last name comes from!

American FIRST. And if you don't, you have nobody but yourself to blame for feeling like the "rest" of society is "excluding" you when you exclude yourself in the first instance!
