Yes --- especially family sponsored immigrants. People are under the false assumption that a family sponsor is financially responsible for their immigrants but that is not the case at all. When the immigrant applies for government handouts, the sponsor's income is included with the immigrant's and the immigrant may earn $0 and will qualify for all kinds of welfare benefits.

Definitely reform is needed - the sponsor should be required to provide for the immigrant, especially with a health insurance policy so that any family sponsored immigrants would not become pulbic burdens. It amazes me how family sponsored immigrants end up on Medicaid and food stamps.
