Mixed-status families include members with different immigration statuses. Some are U.S. citizens, others legal residents and others are undocumented. The dynamic could be constantly changing as well.

"Husbands and wives who are being separated, parents are being separated from their children and in most cases these kids don't even know another country, like Mexico, for example," said Phoenix Immigration Attorney.
Illegal immigration leaves impact on Arizona families - Family News - KTAR.com

Easy solutions: Don't enter the U.S. without authorization, or on a tourist visa, when you know darn well you have no intentions of leaving, and will therefore become an illegal alien. As an illegal alien, don't give birth on U.S. soil in hopes of using your children to anchor you to this country. It might backfire. If caught, take your entire family back home. Then, your family will remain intact. It's just that simple.

It's easier for these criminals to blame others and play the victim.

In reality it's their own damn fault, THEY put their children through this. It's amazing how Illegals, like most stupid criminals get too comfortable before they are caught.

Tough luck for them.

They took the risk of coming here illegally & trafficked there kids out of the country. I am surprised they are not charge with endangering a minor.

I never understood the argument about families being forced to split up.. If I were living in another county with my children and I were forced to leave, I would take my kids with me... Who the hell wouldn't??

For the record, I am not for deporting anyone who is in this country and contributing to this country but don't feed me BS like this..

Just addressing your last sentence. Are you aware that essentially they are just contributing to their own gain? Are you aware that most are working jobs they aren't entitled to and Americans need and many times with fake or stolen ID's? Are you aware that they deflate wages for American workers by working for less? Granted the employers that hire them are equally guilty. Most aren't contributing enough to our tax base to cover their social costs either.

Our immigration laws dictate that they should be deported regardless of what their circumstances are unless they are refugees. They must come legally or not all. If there is no avenue open for them to do that then they must remain in their own country.

From the title of the thread I thought it had something to with families complaining about no longer having housmaids and gardners because of the record number of deportations.

No one forces them to be separated --- and why is separation only bad when it comes to everyone staying in the USA because no one objects to families separated when the first ones head to the USA.
