In an interview with the Des Moines Register, President Barack Obama said he is “confident” a comprehensive amnesty will pass in 2013 if he is re-elected. He also said Mitt Romney and Republicans have “alienated” Latinos and that may be a big factor in his re-election.

The president’s statement concerning Republican cooperation on amnesty appears to assume that congressional GOP leaders will view his victory as a mandate for legalization.

Unless he plans a "deferred action" for all illegals through an Executive Order, I would like to know how he will accomplish this. Even then, he can't legalize their status. Perhaps he has forgotten most citizens oppose amnesty.

NumbersUSA is a farce. Did you know, NumbersUSA also supports ending birthright citizenship? Which means, chances are, you would not be a citizen, since you only hold citizenship by right of you being born here.

So the Republicans have alienated Hispanic citizens by not promising to thumb their noses at our immigration laws nor to enforce them?

It means ending instant citizenship only for those who were born to illegal immigrant parents not babies born from citizens.

Please provide proof for your "farce" accusation. Furthermore, I also support ending birthright citizenship for the children of illegal aliens, and any foreigner who manages to fly into this country to give birth. If you want to talk about a farce, then look no further than the birthright citizenship travesty.

I support ending birthright citizenship because many come here just to get free welfare. Illegal means here ILLEGALLY.

Birthright citizenship should be stopped altogether. One parent should be an American citizen in order for their child(ren) born in the US to qualify for US citizenship. Foreigners enter the US legally for the purpose of giving birth and their child qualifying for citizenship and after the birth head back to their country. There are even private programs set up for foreigners for the very purpose of giving birth in the US.

Obama probably won't lift a finger to help hispanics if he's re-elected.

My question is why would any president help only one ethnic group of citizens anyway? Just what kind of help do they need that is different from the needs of other citizens?

I don't think he will either. He'll pass amnesty with the same vigor in which he closed Guantanemo.

Megalomaniacs like Obama will say anything to get the sucker votes from minorities. He doesn't give a crap about them. Once they've voted, they will have exhausted their usefulness to him.
