I swear half of Eastern Europe is here on 6 month tourist visas working the trades and being paid under the table. We are not going to close our doors to tourists, are we?

It's all about the employers.
There are three equally guilty parties here. Our government, the employers and those here illegally. We who oppose illegal immigration have blamed all three and rightly so.

The blaming and complaining won't do a bit of good.

We have 2 men running for President and neither advocate fixing immigration issues.

I agree with this statement.

Jumping the border and sneaking into a country without permission is NOT immigrating.

It is invading.

I'll at least give Romney a chance. I already know what Obama has done and still wants to do. Besides, it is supposed to be congress that makes these kinds of decisions. So far an amnesty hasn't gotten by congress in recent years. I'd rather live with the status quo than give any of them amnesty.

You might try not to have such a defeatist attitude. We're Americans and have faith that we can get it done!
