This issue is absolutely enraging! There is nothing “undocumented” about these vile invaders who often carry ID’s from their home countries, expired VISA’s, or fraudulent/stolen identification. They are here illegally and are therefore ILLEGAL ALIENS!!

So for example, in Slumerville when you rob a bank it's now considered an unauthorized withdrawal.

This is a serious infraction on freedom of speech, IMO. I wonder if this includes calling them illegal immigrants? I have heard the objection to just calling them illegals before but illegal immigrants?

From the article:

"Somerville’s mayor, Joe Curtatone, welcomedanyone who wants to be part of his city, adding that the community has always been a city of hope for immigrants around the world. “… Whatever your status is, wherever you’re from, we are your mayor, we’re your aldermen, this is your city and we’re here to service you,” Mayor Curtatone said".

Isn't aiding, abetting and harboring illegal immigrants against our federal laws?

At least Somerville isn't at the idiotic level of San Francisco a.k.a Sanctuary City Extraordinaire...yet. I live in SF and the large population of illegal immigrants and the large amount of city resources used to provide programs for them are quite maddening. On a personal level, I do feel for many of these illegal immigrant families because I do see the human side of the story (I am a healthcare provider as well). However, it's discouraging to see generations of out of wedlock birth, dependency on welfare, and disregard for education/ betterment of one's lot in life, that many of these Latino immigrants are mired in unfortunately.

A murderer in Somervile is considered to have committed an "unjustifiable homicide"?

I hope that some challenges this on freedom of speech grounds.

If I had the money and time to travel back east - I might just do that.

I always wanted to see Massachusetts.

What word do they say fits the description better? I guess they will just have to say "alien criminal" gez

The article is unclear. Is the word banned just among city employees using it when in an official capacity? Or are they trying to say no one in the city, even citizens, can use it? As in the making the term 'illegal', illegal? Good luck if it's the second option, being that speech is constitutionally protected.
