This was the same scenario in the early 20th century with the Irish, Italian and German immigrants. Even though they were "legal", Republicans opposed this open door policy and Democrats preserved it because they wanted the votes. The promised them free things and to keep the borders open so long as they would vote Democrat. That's how the Democrats really took power. Those immigrants did nothing good for our country but create ethnic ghettos in cities like Chicago, Boston and New York, and took jobs from Americans because they were willing to work for lower wages. Is the same thing not happening again? I swear I'll never vote Republican again if the party plays the Democratic game and softens up on immigration.

1. Illegals are criminals.
2. Illegals need to be held accountable like all other criminals
3. maybe others would care more if they had to pay the fees and had to wait for their loved ones to be allowed to enter legally. It kind of sucks big time to see cheats rewarded.
The republicans as whole did not lose ground. Not like the blood bath the Dems took in 08.
Romney lost because he has the personality of wet cardboard. It is unfortunate but big elections are as much about the cult of personality as they are about qualifications. Hardliners will vote party line no matter what. Obama pandered to the hispanic vote and won it. Anyone with a brain still functioning would have looked at the last 4 years and voted for a fireplug rather than Obama. To say Obama lost based on his stand on illegal immigration is utter nonsense.

People on legal visas like student visa, work visa, dependents-basically all foreigners even illegal ones are counted in census. They say that it helps the local councils to plan for utilities, roads, fire, police etc. But foreign citizen names are not there on voting list-for voting, one needs to be a US citizen.

The electoral college is only concern with the population of each state & representation.
It doesn't discern who is legal & who is not illegal.

Illegals cannot vote. Even legal visa holders and those who have green card cannot vote. Voting rights are for US citizens only.

Illegals certainly do vote. Did you show up to the polls? They do not require a voters card, nor a drivers license. The most they ask is your address but you are not required to prove it, its illegal for them to ask you to verify anything.

There's no way Obama would have been pandering to illegals immediately before the election with all his promises of amnesty and quick US citizenship and good paying American jobs if he didn't think they voted. After all -- it's not citizens or legal residents that are in need of amnesty.

Illegals cannot vote. Legal foreigners also cannot vote. One needs to register in voting list. Its not that one can just walk and say my name is john retard and I live in lunatic street and yippy-I can vote.
Request for Voter Registration Applications
this application one can fill only if one is a citizen. and have you ever seen driving license of a legal foreigner living in USA-it is clearly mentioned there that he/she is an alien. The voter registration is verified against driving license record. Before spreading lies-have you ever met with a non-citizen (legal or illegal) who has voted in this elections???
