Look, I think we can all agree that it is an estimate, with some presumptions behind it. It serves to show a possible effect, but we should all be able to agree that it could be off by quite a bit, in either direction.

Trying to defend or argue against the counter's accuracy is like trying to chew smoke.

I disagree...wholeheartedly. All one need do is take a look at the sources provided by the site....these are governmental, public record reports. Backed up by real life experience and witness. Take a good look at some other sites, published by our fellow Arizonian officials, as well as the others you'll "stumble" upon when you Google (or Dogpile) "Cost of Illegal Immigration".
