You're in full spin mode...
What makes you believe they'll be required to work 40 quarters? I'm sure you realize many are receiving SSI benefits without having paid one penny in taxes. That's one reason they want their elderly parents to live here. Plus, haven't you learned by now, illegal aliens are special. As such, our government is obligated to revise our laws to accommodate them. So, I doubt the "40 quarters rule" will apply. Let's not forget, we currently have a president who doesn't mind creating new policies especially for them, even if it means bypassing Congress, or ignoring the Constitution. Heck, that may be one of his proposals for CIR. But, why should they ever be allowed to benefit from illegal activity? We certainly don't reward citizens who choose to live outside the law.

So you believe that the "40 quarter rule" will remain for U.S. citizens and legal residents, but those that can demonstrate they have been in an illegal alien status previously will not have to worry about it? That U.S. citizens that have not paid into the system will be unable to draw benefits, but the same regulation will not apply to former illegal aliens? I can't argue with jaded irrationality, because it just doesn't make sense.

If Obama can grant DACA and now his new unlawful presence waiver, what makes you think he won't change this requirement? After all, he has a track record. At this point, nothing would surprise me.

And, don't act like all laws are equally applied to illegal aliens, because we both know that's a lie. Fraud and SSN ID theft come to mind. Or, did you forget Dreamies have been pardoned for those crimes? In fact, they were issued "new" SSNs to replace the fake and stolen numbers they were using.

You can forget about a Republican being voted in for President. The Democrats are going to rule for a long time to come thanks to the ever growing welfare society that will continue to vote for a party that is determined to create a nation of poverty. America is going to end up being a modern third world country.
