Maybe our taxpayers would be a lot less ''over-burdened'' if more of our lower-skilled and unemployed anglo ''natives'' were simply willing to get off their fat keisters and compete for a job just like everyone else. That is instead of always complaining and using ''illegals'' as an excuse.... while staying at home collecting unemployment, SSI, disability, Section 8, and Welfare, to which they feel ''entitled''. For starters, those sure aren't anglo faces humpin' it out there in those fields!

Humorous?

Unlike you, some of us consider the decimation of our middle class, hospital closures, school budget deficits, billions of squandered tax dollars, rampant ID theft/fraud, and other criminal behavior to be a serious issue.

More pro-amnesty propaganda. If farmers need workers they have unlimited visas at their disposal. But, they prefer to employ cheap, exploitable, illegal labor. In fact, out of curiosity, a poster applied for one of those advertised farm positions. He was never contacted.

mateo45, you do realize that only 3% of illegal immigrants work in agriculture?

Yeah, you aren't supposed to link to other forums here, even if they only have four active members, with a single member making 96% of the posts...

Total Hispanic births dropped to just below a million last year. Hispanics are estimated to be 50 million of the U.S. population. The last statistic I will quote is from the link you offered for "Capital Alert" at the Sacramento Bee:

Quote:
Overall, the foreign-born population of California is estimated at some 13 million, or more than a third of the state's population. Legal immigrants outnumber illegal immigrants in the state by 3 to 1.

So, in the state with the highest illegal immigrant population, legal immigrants outnumber them three-to-one. All of the statistics don't show a majority of Hispanic growth attributable to illegal immigration. The actual link to Pew is http://pewhispanic.org/files/reports/125.pdf.[/quote]

Because that's all due to illegal immigrants...

Benicar didn't say that. However, a lot of what she said is true of illegal immigrants.

Still demonizing the American worker and what's with the "anglo faces"? Why aren't you criticizing black or Asian Americans for not picking crops? Only 3% of illegal immigrants are working in the agricultural industry the rest are doing jobs that Americans have always done and will still do again in spite of your apparent contempt for them. Hot flash for you, many whom you say are staying home and collecting all kinds of welfare benefits are illegal immigrants with anchor babies.
