They will vote for democrats no matter what, just like the voted for the PRI candidates and they will not vote for Republicans even when they have the biggest panderer ever known to mankind -- McCain lost to Obama and Obama wasn't actually pandering all that much when he ran the first time. McCain pandered hideously but still lost.

Remember -- Obama then said they had to get to the BACK of the line, learn English and so on -- he didn't really promise some huge amnesty back then. I'm not sure what changed but the illegals wouldn't have voted for Romney even if he promised them amnesty.
I believe it was mostly Hispanic citizens that voted for Obama not illegal Hispanics. I wouldn't doubt that there were some that voted but not in the numbers that Hispanic citizens would have voted. You are right though Hispanics wouldn't have voted for Romney if he promised amnesty because why should they? Obama also made that promise and Hispanics typically vote Democrat anyway. That's why I can't figure why some of the GOP in congress are mulling over joining the amnesty bandwagon now.
