All immigration bills are DOA, when Bohner doesn't have the votes.

It isn't just the Republicans who are greedy. Many Democrats own businesses and they also like the cheap, illegal labor. They have a two-fold agenda though. The other is the Hispanic vote.

Most polititians do not want to risk alienating the Hispanic vote and/or **** off people who employ undocumented workers. And then there's the fence. Some one or another cares about interrupting the Proghorn migration. Folk don't want the fence in their backyard. $bajillions have been spent studying the issue. No one had a clue what it was going to cost from the onset. Lots of youtube out there showing people scaling the border fence.

Now Rubio is in a tizzy because big bad Obama stole his thunder. No doubt someone will want a spending cut equal to the cost of finishing the fence.

Let's check in on this in topic in another 25 years, shall we.
Wrong! Reagan thought he was only amnestying 300,000 illegal immigrants when 3 million came forward, not 6 million. He was also promised that the borders would be secured and they weren't so he later regretted signing that amnesty.

One has to wonder why any politician in either party would thumb their noses at our immigration laws to pander to Hispanics and one has to wonder what makes Hispanics think they are so special that they would blackmail our politicians for votes.

As for the fence. We were promised the double layered one when all we got was no more than animal fencing in most places. When it comes to our nation's security to hell with land owners who won't cooperate. It would have been a lot cheaper to complete the double layered fence than to allow millions more illegals to come here.

No need to check in on this issue 25 years from now. We will be Mexico El Norte by then all unemployed with an over abundace of workers and begging in the streets. Welcome to the third world.

That's right, so why are they so foolish to think so by caving into this amnesty?

Amnesty didn't help Reagan win the Hispanic vote in 1984. That tells you something about McCain, doesn't it?

No, I am afraid the free feels are here to stay. The government loves to remind you they have you by gonads.

Reagan also promised, this would be a one time deal. In the legislation it says it it not to be attempted again.
