Tuition assistance to end for military, but not for illegal alien (2013, illegal aliens)

Across the board budget cuts, a/k/a sequestration, has forced the Army, Marine Corps and Air Force to halt their tuition assistance programs which are important to America's warriors, according to Pentagon Press Secretary George Little on Tuesday. However, this week the state of Colorado announced it was extending in-state tuition to illegal aliens, which amounts to thousands of dollars per student.

We see who is more important.

Obama is promising the illegals financial aid for college and he did in fact given legal status to all kinds of illegals --- which is how they now can start jumping to the front of the financial aid lines.

Can a state give financial aid to an American citizen if a DACA student whose parents have 0 documented income wants it? Now that Obama made them legal residents, can states give financial aid to Americans instead of them?

I believe this is about education while still on active duty. If a serviceman retires he can get entitled educational benefits through the VA. It has already been paid for by the active service rendered.
