And what has the presidential election to do with illegal immigration? The so-called CIR legislation aka amnesty will be voted down by the House.

So, who cares man?

I have no beef with folks coming over. Legal or not. How does it hurt me?

I see you have a lot to learn. Also having respect for our immigration laws would be nice.

See fam, I dont work in the unskilled economy competing with Jose for $10/hour jobs. So if they take those jobs, it doesnt bother me. I get cheap builders, plumbers, gardeners et al.

It's a great deal for those who are in the high human capital economy.

Pandering to the Hispanic vote that does not want our borders enforced will not get the Republicans elected when they anger their base.

So as long as you don't feel you are impacted by illegal immigration (but you are through higher taxes) you don't care about the blue-collared American worker? As long as you can reap profits off of them to heck with everyone else? Really??? Are you providing healthcare benefits to them so that their social costs aren't passed on to the rest of us or don't you care about that either?

You're right. This propaganda floating around that the GOP will garner more of the Hispanic vote by voting for an amnesty is one big whopper of a lie by the pro-illegals so that the GOP will cave in to them and remove all obstacles to getting it passed. Hopefully the majority of the GOP will be able to see right through that.

Obviously, when one loses big with 7.9% unemp, 14.7% U6, 1.5 trill debt, their base knows squat about what wins.

87% of illegal aliens would apply for citizenship if part of the amnesty bill.

85% of them have one family member that is already a citizen.

No surprise: Vast majority of unauthorized immigrants would apply for citizenship
