"Tons" of power? Compared to who? And what does that mean, "this is not ireland"? NO OTHER COUNTRY ON EARTH allows illegals to enter, nor grants them benefits. That is a FACT.

Nice thread derailment, deflective trolling nonsense from the far left. The US supports Israel because of shared values, just as it supports Canada, Australia , etc. The US is "wrapped up" in the affairs of a lot of allies in the mideast, turn off the nonsense.

You make lots of claims with zero facts, so stop lying and pretending your posts have any validity - they have none. Declaring that one is above reproach or the winner in a thread is juvenile flame bait crap, so spare us.

Immigration policies in the US will either change, or this country will break apart, it's that simple.
1. You should read about the history of Black America sometime...

2. "Shared values"? Like our "shared values" with Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and (up until recently) Egypt?
The cowards who knocked down the Twin Towers ALL came from "shared values allied nations"...try again.

3. Please don't call fellow posters "liars" unless they have, in fact, lied.

Now back to the topic at hand.

You can't stop people from trying to improve their lives by migrating to other countries that have opportunity.

Here's an idea:

The far right should stop proposing things electrified fences and moats and perhaps come up with a way to HELP their fellow man instead of treating him like some sort of illegal substance.

Thank you.

Most other countries do just that. They have strict screening and entry requirements. In the US some people seem to think it's o.k. to break the law.

Why don't you sponsor them and pay for their expenses and any burden they place on the rest of us. If you TRULY feel the way you do then you should have no problem with that. I am all for LEGAL immigration - but not illegal immigration.

...and how is that working out for Japan?

O.K. I'll personally sponsor millions of migrants if you promise to personally put out all of the fires around the country.

...That is why we have a government.

Please DON'T use Mr Chavez as a reason to want amnesty; he want illegal aliens OUT of the US because those people were hurting American farm workers.

I see, so only Hispanics do manual labor? This forum is about illegal immigration anyway not Hispanics per se. Hispanics only make up 50 million of the people here in this country (and that includes the illegal kind). There are nearly 320 million people in this country. Do the math. 320 million less 50 million equals 270 million non-Hispanics with economic and political power in this country.

Cesar Chavez was opposed to illegal aliens taking jobs from legal migrant workers. Someone needs to read a history book.

And what does the above have to do with illegal immigration? The fact that illegals only account for about 3% of agricultural jobs means that there must be many legal citizens doing those jobs.

We have a government to sponsor millions of illegals? No actually, we have a government that should be enforcing our laws.

I don't think you guys quite understand how much political and economic power Hispanics have in the U.S.

As you will see over the next few months, the dead-enders who are against amnesty for migrants will continue to lose political battle after political battle.

Sorry but that is the reality of the situation.
