Sorry but that is the reality of the situation.
Word was the "Germans" had that kind of power 100 years ago; WW 1 put a stop to that real quick like as in many "German" people here stopped speaking German in public and stayed with English. It'll go down with "Hispanics" as well; some LatAm country will really upset the US and that'll be the end of la raza because real Americans will be mad.

Good luck with that.

Let me say prejudice is getting worse and I'm afraid things WILL get ugly especially if the economy keeps going down. Nothing new about prejudice against certain types of people if there's trouble; not saying it's right tho.

50 million vs 270 million does not equate to economic or political power.

You're using real math. Some posters think 50 million is more than 270 million.

Too; many "Hispanic" Americans DON'T want any sort of amnesty for illegal aliens, even ones from LatAm.

Again to use our Jewish American neighbors as an example...

They constitute a far less population of Americans than Hispanics but wield enormous political, economic and cultural power far greater than their mere numbers.

Why?

Because they are FOCUSED and ORGANIZED. They donate cash money strategically to advance their interests.

Guess who else fits this description...Native Americans.

That group funnels enormous amounts of casino money to Washington and have a lobbying army even larger than Jewish-Americans.

So focusing on mere numbers of people is utterly ridiculous because the congressmen in D.C. aren't talking about population figures...they are talking about cold hard cash...the only "population" that counts!

Unfortunately, there are more that do than don't. There is much evidence to support that. If it weren't so then our politicians. wouldn't be pandering to the minority rather than the majority.

Jews: they believe in education, being sober, and so on. Too; they're dying out here in the US because there's so LITTLE prejudice against them and they're "marrying out" a lot and their kids ain't being raised "Jewish".

American Indian casinos: most tribes DON'T have them AND even the Rez's with casinos, it's a few fat cats who make out like bandits, many if not most Rez Indians are still "PWT" in culture. I live here in Arizona and have seen several Rez's with casinos, it ain't pretty in 2013.

Amnesty people: the backlash against amnesty is getting stronger. Obama STILL can't get his "CIR" nonsense to pass and he's been POTUS for almost 6 years now. Just remember that it ain't just Jews, AI's and Hispanics who have some power; other groups of people have it as well.

If the people who I think you may be referring to had the power you may think they have then the president would be named Mitt Romney and Addison Mitchell "Mitch" McConnell, Jr. would be the Majority Leader.

The 2012 election was def close; word was many "conservatives" did NOT vote for Mitt since they think Mormons ain't Christian.
