The 60% figure was obtained by how the question in the poll was asked. Any idea can be confirmed in a poll with slanted questions to answer.

If your premise is true, which I sincerely doubt, put it to a national vote and see what the results look like. I could be wrong, but I doubt that they would turn out the way the government and the press wish they would.
Sounds like a great idea. Anybody brave enough to do this? And when the vote is to deport all illegals; do it!!

Yes, according to the defenders of illegal aliens you are a hater and a racist for not desiring an amnesty for them that isn't in the best interests of our own citizens.

I wonder if when the poll was conducted if they talked about the many victims of crimes committed by illegals, and then talked about if E-verify were made mandatory that illegals would be forced to self deport how many would have said yes to a path to citizenship?
I know a run on sentence.

Also in some of these polls it was admitted that some of those polled were polled in Spanish. Hmm. When words like reform are used rather than amnesty which is what it is I would expect a different result also. Those polled need to be reminded of our high unemployment rates and low wages due to adding millions more permanently to our labor pool.

What if a law passed (somehow) making it illegal to criticize the government? Most of us would sign up for a life of crime instantly.

Some crimes are not actually wrong. Crossing an imaginary line after a bunch of white people instead of before, is one of them. Besides, reasoning tells me the current "path to citizenship" must really suck. I don't see risking one's own life sneaking in when it's reasonably simple and easy to get permission first...

If they were not wrong then there would be no laws for them. Apparently they are wrong.
