This is a serious question?

I think youre justifying your inability to speak multiple languages.

I am sure that learning other things besides a foreign language makes the brain grow also. If I learn something that I will use on a daily basis opposed to a foreign language that I would not use much my brain would continue to grow while with the language if you don't use it you lose it. Nice try though.

Someone needs to justify it? To whom?

Who knows, maybe to themselves. Kinda like the slow learner in high school algebra who mocks the teacher on a regular basis.

Good, then we have choices to keep our brain active. Why does it have to be learning another language? I do most of the above so I am set to go.

I never said that legal immigrants have to know English by law. It is however necessary if one is to become a naturalized citizen. The only exception would be the elderly. Why wouldn't every citizen, immigrant want to learn our national language? It is hard to function in our society without knowing it unless one is for retaining separate societies in our country. If one doesn't want to assimilate into our society then perhaps they should move to another country.

No it isn't but when certain people in here condemn Americans for not desiring to learn another language they are in essence denying them their freedoms not to.

That was the point being made about not allowing her to migrate here because of her age. In the future if you have a problem with a poster why not take it up with them rather than me?
