What benefits to illegals provide to our country???? Please, explain them all to me.
cheap labor for business owners. many are paying into social security and general taxation without receiving benefits. we are expanding our culture, also.

So are you saying that are responsibilty should be first to those of Mexico, and not to the American people?
im saying we have a responsibility to both, mexico being a neighbor who obviously has influence in our own borders. if we help mexico, we help ourselves.

Wow, this is rich. Now what are you doing to help those who live in much worse conditions in Africa, China, India, Tibet, Russia, etc.????? Are you fighting to help those people? Are you fighting to let them live here with the benefits of a Mexican illegal? Or are you biased to those less fortunate in Mexico? Until then maybe you should call yourself a "Selective Humanitarian".
im all for helping countries in need, but we need to do it one step at a time. mexico, being a geographic neighbor, is the first logical step. if we lead by example, we could also influence affluent countries to help their geographic neighbors. also, if we restructured our government spending, we would definitely be able to allot more resources for foreign aid.
it all can be taken care of...........let all of the illegals legally get legalized.........do the right thing, if they want to stay, get naturalized.......and do it now..........learn the history, learn the language(english), and learn the way of life........then they can reap all that this great country has to offer........
if people from other countries come to our great country, and want to become citizens of our great country, we are all open.....our laws provide for these things.......illegally coming and staying in our country is a crime......an international crime, and has to be dealt with, now..........if you come, and want to stay, then you have to do it within the guidelines that are provided by the laws set down within the constitution of our great land.......period.

Many are NOT paying into social security or taxes. The US pays 10.5 BILLION a year in Social services with the taxpayers money, so they most certainly are receiving benefits, at the taxpayer's expense. And cheap labor for businesses? That's surely right, businesses getting rich off slave labor basically, meanwhile putting Americans out of work, because with having to pay taxes, medical insurance, and living in a single family home, no American could survive off that wage. Businesses will just have to pay livable wages and Americans will have to pay more for things, big deal. Where's your "humanitarian" feeling for the American out of work? And CULTURE? ARE YOU SERIOUS? I think were quite familiar with Mexican culture already.

Wrong. Our first and foremost responsibilty is to AMERICAN CITIZENS. If we allow unscreened criminals and diseases into our country by the millions with no control, we will not be "helping ourselves", we will be DESTROYING OURSELVES.

So because they're closest, they are the only ones who get our help. Sounds humanitarian to me. Perhaps if the 12-20 MILLION illegals here stayed in Mexico and worked on their own country instead of turning ours into the third world nation they came from, they could aid in the fight against corruption and build their country into one they wouldn't want to leave.

great. make the immigration process fair: free and quick.
Many are NOT paying into social security or taxes.
if the immigration process was free and quick, there would be no incentive to cross illegally, and subsequently, less employer demand for "illegals". and they would all be able to fairly contribute to social security and taxes through proper employment registration. just like the rest of us.

i support that idea.. but these businesses do not all have this extra money. the ones that will suffer are the small businesses.. and those are the ones we want to thrive, assuming we're somewhat anti-corporate.

america's unemployment rate has remained fairly stagnant. the only ones without jobs are the ones that dont want to work, or are too picky about what they want to do for work.

we already have crime and disease. we are not destroyed. the solution is to offer health screening with our free, quick immigration process, in addition to a background check. internally, healthcare should be both socialized and privatized. that way we all have options, and the sick illegals (and legals) can receive treatment to prevent the spread of the disease. those who arent able to pass a background check will be denied entry. they might seek to cross illegally, but it will be easier to enforce border security if that is the case.

not the only ones. but definitely the primary target.

the zapatistas are a prominent alliance, yet they have failed to enact change. what makes you think a common citizen would be able to do more? not to mention the threat of violence against them... it is not realistic to expect common citizens to put themselves in such a situation.
you have at least 1 tv (probably), a computer with internet access, clothing in a style you like, a car (probably), hot water, plumbing, electricity, hygiene products, etc.
some would consider that luxurious. other countries are full of people who have worked harder than you but have less to show for it.
you seem to know me......have we ever met? and maybe i do have the things you say i may have but it seems you question everything about me...as if you are judging me for what i have. like it is my responsibility to give them what i have worked desperatly to have.
i dont doubt that there are others who are less fortunate than i am........but i know who i am, i know how i got here, and i know what character i have.
just because i may have luxeries as you call them does not mean i do not have a heart.
excuse me for wanting my country free of illegals.
excuse me for wanting immigration enforced...
never doubt that i do care about the state of the world. but...............
this is my country...i am american, and i agree in our immigration laws, it's people like you who would try to have us doubt why.
if every other country in the world has and enforces their immigration laws, then why do you attack america for doing it?
like i said.....you just dont seem to get it.

point is, you have a lot more luxuries than people from other countries, who have worked just as hard, if not harder, than you, yet have less to show for it.
you are FORTUNATE to be born in america and be able to live such a lavish lifestyle (based on a global scale). why are you so reluctant to share your fortune? why hoarde it? sharing is something we were supposed to learn in kindergarten.

get over it........time for every other countrys government to cowboy up for their own........you have no idea what type of charity i give...have no idea where i come from, how rich i am...or any of the above.....stop judging me, and open your eyes.........illegal is illegal....you can pass the blame to me, if you like, but the true culprits are the governments of the countries people in the millions are fleeing from....if they took care of their people, were humanitarians there would be no illegal immigration to america......i am fortunate to be an american, and anyone who would immigrate legally would have my welcome..do it illegally, and they will not.
and this isnt kindergarten this is real life...grown up things., why dont you read my threads, to see why i feel the way i do before you sit in judgement?
i'm tired of people like you thinking you are holier than thou...you talk about compassion for the illegal..what about compassion for the victims of violent crimes committed by your precious illegals?
