All good but why expand legal immigration at this time with 23 milion Americans out of work? Is he pro-legalization for many or some illegal immigrants even though he opposes a pathway to citizenship? The devil is in the details you know.

I agree we don't need to expand legal immigration, but he is right on with banning all illegal immigrants.
I don't think he is pro illegal.

As he said he would "bar undocumented immigrants currently living in the United States from ever earning citizenship."

I just don't trust him any more than I trust Rubio on this issue. Until I hear from his lips that he is opposed to allowing any illegal immigrants to remain here period then I might have some faith in him. Until then, no.

We might disagree here, but I support anything that's anti-amnesty and allowing our borders to be compromise.

We can agree to disagree on certain things.

This. Ted Cruz is a snake oil salesman. We don't need to expand our system of legal immigration; if anything we need to scale it back.

I am just fore warning you to keep your eyes and ears open in regards to Cruz. I know we anti-illegal immigrationists get encouraged when we hear politicians talking about opposition to rewarding illegal immigrants but some have a way of talking out of both sides of their mouths to appease both sides on this issue because they don't want to lose votes. I hope you are right about Cruz and that my "suspicions" are wrong. I guess time will tell.

Definitely there is no good reason whatsoever to reward illegals with easy citizenship. There is no purpose in giving it to them, they prove that they have zero respect for this country and it's laws.

Besides, it's not as though they're going to get mad and pack their bags and leave if they aren't given their every demand.

Trust & faith go hand in hand. If you don't give Cruz a chance you will never know if he's sincere or not.

Come on. Given the track record of most of our politicians and their flip-flopping on the issues I have reason to be aprehensive. Let em put his money where his mouth is. If anyone can provide a link that he advocates denying any illegal immigrants to remain here at least it will be a starting point to believe him.
