And Persian/Farsi in Beverly Hills-------literally 20% of the people living there are Iranians who happen to be Jewish of all things.
There used to be a large Jewish community in Iran; a lot of them moved here after the revolution. I personally know a couple. There are still Jewish people in Iran...fewer than there used to be though!

There are still a few Jewish people in Austria and Germany, too---but far fewer than there used to be !........
It certainly wasn't meant to be funny---how could you think so.? It was meant as a "stab" at the constant claims we hear that Islam is a tolerant religion because "Jews and Christians live in Islamic countries".
Sorry if it sounded disespectful---it was supposed to sound sarcastic.....something like saying "the American Indians once allowed illegal immigration--and look where it got them"...
Now for irony: the country receiving the largest number of Jewish immigrants these days is Germany.
I really only guessed about Germany--but somewhere recently I read that the once-large Jewish population of Austria has never recovered from the Holocaust (remember the "Kurt Waldheim" affair?--I think that was his name)
