New York City is home to 130 languages and 8.2 million people, including 2.9 million foreign-born residents. An estimated one of every four adult New Yorkers cannot speak or read English well and 46 percent of the city's population speaks a language other than English at home
I'll probably get negative repped for saying this but: this exposes yet a few more issues with America's law system.
First off, there is no official language. Second people can sue for the most ridiculous things. Third, those frivolous law suits make the news and become fact, then they are taken to generalize an entire body of people.
how about forget it? There are many sections of the country where no one speaks a second language beside english.
By sections do you mean states? And I think each and every state has a pocket of Hispanic citizens that speak Spanish. In fact, why are you so afraid of change?
Pharmacies should not have to translate everything into spanish, but if they want latino business they better do it.
