The news reported that the towers, which are not on the border, are the ones that got attacked. I have never heard of any news reports of our borders being attacked by terrorists.
Wouldn't it be more cost effective, if we used better and more market friendly public policy that actually reduces public and private sector costs?
What is your deal with the terrorist thing? Believe or not, America has more than one problem. The minutemen are dealing with this particular problem. They are not there to stop trade, they are there to assist border patrol in stopping illegal immigration, which in most people's minds, including mine, is a major problem for this country and needs to be stopped. They are volunteering their time to save the American taxpayers from having to support more illegal immigrants. What exactly is your problem with this?

It is not, my deal, with the terrorist thing. It is the specious and duplicitous argument of the opposing view point that the Minutemen are there to secure us from the "evil" jaywalkers across state lines for the sake of national security.
I agree that black market migrant labor participation can be a problem for countries that are more socialist or communist than the US. In the US, it is public policy that is more of a problem than black market labor participation. You may have noticed that the US is still the largest economy in the world despite having black market labor participants.
What is wrong with simply fining current black market labor participants, collecting biometrics, and issuing a work visa?

Of course I'm right about the minutemen.
What are they doin at the border you ask again... They are helping secure it They are helping secure it They are helping secure it They are helping secure it so that any diseased drug dealing pedophile black market labor potential terrorists might be stopped. OK? When not at the border they call write and protest their representatives to fix this bs

Is there any evidence that the terrorists actually jaywalked across the border? I am under the impression that they came in under a legal visa and may have overstayed that visa.
If the Minutemen have not been called to actual state or federal service, where are they getting the authority to enforce powers that are delegated to the federal government? Neither the states, nor the people have the enumerated power to enforce US customs laws.
Why do you have a problem with fining black market labor participants, getting biometrics, and issuing a work visa?
Why do you think that the Great Walls of the mustered Minutemen will be any more effective than Hadrian's Wall or any other form of prohibition, when prohibitionism could not save the ancient Roman state? I think the CO of any Minutemen companies would have a hard time justifying those tactics if they were not that specially interesting in promoting their propaganda, instead of actually being useful in cases of natural disaster or simple search and rescue missions, or simply providing gun safety lessons to gun lovers who claim the Second Amendment as an individual right.

Are you aware that there are those with Al Queida connections that have been caught crossing our southern borders illegally?
And, part of the concern is, they have caught "some" - how many others have not been caught

Why would Al Qaeda use those tactics, if they were already using the tactics of coming legally? Wouldn't it make more sense to continue a practice that worked in the past?
As an example that illustrates that point, how many Minutemen are using muskets instead of modern weapons when mustering? I would consider your point valid, if there are any hard core Minutemen who prefer to use muskets in dealing with modern forms of weapons usage.

Crossing the border illegally is merely jaywalking to you?
The minutemen are usually on private property and instructed by border patrol what to do when they encounter illegals.
I dont have a problem with fining black market labor participants, getting biometric information and detaining and or deporting.
Why do monkeys swing in trees? Why dont you go search and rescue if its so important to you?
