WILKES-BARRE — Illegal immigration is adding to the rising number of inmates at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility.
Earlier this month, U.S. Sen. Arlen Specter, R-Philadelphia, visited the prison to help prepare legislation to address the rising number of criminal aliens in U.S. prisons. Specter said the federal government is responsible for criminal aliens and should do more to help state and county prisons.
