This president has gone after and is prosecuting more whistleblowers than all of the other presidents combined in American history. Obama is incompetent to lead and should be impeached.
This action should surprise no one. After all, remember how he feels about police? Like when his friend was lawfully confronted prior to the coverup beer summit.

The Department of Homeland Security, of which ICE is a part, is directly involved in providing input to the legislators drafting and sponsoring the immigration reform legislation. In addition to the Homeland Security involvement the elected representatives have received input from constituent and special interest groups, including the unions which object to some of what is being proposed. This isn't the President's legislative proposal, it's a proposal authoried by at least 8 Democratic and Republican U.S. Senators some of whom are border state legislators where ICE has a presence. In the Senate and later in the U.S. House, there will be more hearings and everyone's viewpoint will be heard. That's the venue, the proper venue for the discussion. Rightly so.

I doubt you'd accept the will of the people. You haven't accepted/recognized it before, why start now? The President was elected, twice now ... and immigration reform was a discussion point not only in the GOP primaries but in the general election where the President, for a second time ... was selected by the voters to lead the nation. Add to that vote of confidence by the American people ... the election of the members of Congress. That's how things work in this country ... people select others to act on their behalf. National polls consistently point-to overwhelming support ... in the GOP and the Democratic Party ... for immigration reform.

Your comment has no bearing on the OP. The OP is pointing out that Obama and Biden are meeting with people who have absolutely no voice in this nation instead of meeting with people who do have a voice. Illegals have no political rights in this country and their civil rights are limited. Illegals shouldn't even be meeting with members of Congress, let alone the President and the Vice-President.

"Racism, fear, stay out"? What does that cartoon have to do with our objection to ILLEGAL immigration? We don't object to legal immigration in reasonable and diversified numbers. Spin, much? One looses any credibility with insinuations like that.
What does Obama being re-elected have to do with Americans objecting to amnesty aka CIR? The election had nothing to do with immigration except for maybe the Hispanic voter but they like most minorities vote Democrat anyway.
Amnesty aka CIR isn't what most Americans want regardless of what you say. Politicians often change their stances on issues once they are elected. They aren't to be trusted. Is that a surprise to you? But keep hanging on to your polls as proof of what the majority want. I know better and it will never see the light of day in the House.

So what. His election doesn't grant him the authority to push his agenda, it merely allows him the opportunity to suggest issues of legislation. The House is representative of the people, the Senate is representative of the states. Looks like the People and the States have different ideals when it comes to CIR, thus the likeliness of anything passing is pretty slim. So far the Senate is even saying they don't have the 60 votes to pass it, they only have 52, and the House hasn't even brought it out of committee yet, still having hang-ups with the Dems in the House calling for a re-do.
