If it could, then the problems of illegal immigration would have been solved. The list of a few solutions[listed above] is a small step towards the goal of immigration reform. So, work to accomplish these goals and more...

Talking "tough" simply shows your a "tough-talker"...working to solve problems is the privy of a mature, rational, logical, practical Adult.
We have worked "rationally and logically" to solve this problem. But Illegal Aliens will not follow our Logical, ethical,LEGAL and RATIONAL immigration laws so what's your point?

If Amnesty or CIR is passed we will have the same issue again greatly magnified because Illegal Aliens REFUSE to respect and follow the laws. The only "GOALS" of Illegals are to continue to break the law and bring MORE Illegals here. So the ONLY logical and rational response is:

" COMPREHENSIVE IMMIGRATION LAW ENFORCEMENT "

Our government has been ignoring this problem for years and coddling these illegal aliens. It is time to get tough and by that I mean stop birthright citizenship, taxpayer benefits for illegals including education, healthcare and welfare handouts and implementing e-verify in every workplace. Most will leave on their own. Is that too tough for you?

all your suggestions are valid, now that hard part is the implementation...my comment was directed at the poster who...imo, offers a "by any means necessary" solution; which is, in reality, no solution.

Actually the original reference was to the Arizona SB1070 law. When the judge enjoined parts of it, he left the part about employers intact, yet not one employer has been arrested or even cited. That shows the real intent was not immigration but racial. I do know of employers in Arizona who have been jailed under Federal Law.
