Don't worry because they are taken care of as well in the immigration bill amendment.
They can come back to the US and wait here with their expired visas.
They won't get in trouble either.
In the amendment is a permanent waiver of their overstaying their visas.

There's a 1000 page amendment chock full of goodies for all types of immigrants wanting to come here.

Seems to me that someone willing to risk everything to break into my home is exactly the the kid of visitors I wouldn't want.
We as a nation have the right to choose who we welcome and who we deny.

this is a classic aim of Conservatives and pinko Liberals.
Evidently some unions support them as well.

This is one of my main issues. I read constantly about this country turning away or putting on hold educated folks trying to go through the proper channels while pandering to illegal immigrants. I mostly feel for those getting screwed over and having to wait longer because the scumbag politicians are vote grabbing. That is NOT helping this country get back on track.

Today's unified agreement by the labor movement is a major step forward to pass immigration reform," Eliseo Medina, international executive vice president of the Service Employees International Union, said during a phone news conference. "We believe that the time is right for finally reforming our immigration system."
basically, immigration has gotten so out of hand, that they are now calling the shots at the higher levels, thus destroying the jobs and wages of the local workers.

What's wrong with this picture?

This is a show-stopper as far as I'm concerned. Letting people become permanent residents, whose only qualification is that they broke American law, while refusing those who obeyed it, is unacceptable. Doesn't matter what other trappings you put on the bill, whether they get "citizenship" or not, etc.

And whining that it would be "too difficult" to enforce our laws, is a pitiful surrender that would make the French proud.

We don't need to "reform" our immigration laws. We merely need to start obeying them for a change.
It seems like the current immigration law is just for show.

No, the law was intended seriously.

The govt we elected to enforce it, was just for show. At least in their minds.

They let illegals stay for one simple reason...Your law makers and enforcers are just plain lazy...it is easier for a bureaucrat to ignore illegals and ignore the paper work that consists of processing those legally applying to enter...You have a government that does not like to do the work and does not have the will to work.
