his whole perspective on the issue is ridiculous. we would have those sort of numbers if we got rid of blacks, or whites, and when you highlight the negative, it frames the selected group in a pure negative light without giving a full picture that is inclusive of the positives, or the problems that we would encounter if they all left. he makes it seem like it would be "less drugs, less murder, more PARADISE", but there would be losses we would all feel, too. and like i said, deport ANY group, and youll have "less drugs, less murder, less costs to our medical system, etc..."

THE PROBLEM is that, yes, you COULD have those numbers taking any segment of already-existing American society, but why refute the EXTRA that UNINVITED and UNWELCOMED people add to already big problems?

Even if "only" a couple thousand more people are killed, maimed, etc. by illegals, that is STILL a couple thousand people who would be alive/fine BUT FOR the illegal presence.

Just because a man beats his wife, for example, doesn't mean it's OK for the neighbor to beat that same woman because "she'd be black and blue no matter what."

A day might not hurt America without illegal immigrants, but a couple weeks would badly hurt a state's economy, especially states in the Southwest. Trucking, Ports, Tourism, Housing Industry, Restraunt Industry, Produce(San Joaquin Valley)

and they also contribute. most likely moreso than they take. you dont punish a whole neighborhood because one murderer lives in one house within. you work to find and prosecute that murderer, like we do currently.

crime is unfortunate, but it is part of society. that is why we have police, courts, and prisons. punishing a whole group of people based on the crimes of a few is positively devoid of any rational thought.

really? its not ok to beat your wife?

punish the perpetrator, not the whole neighborhood.

Very well said. Bravo! This is absolutely right, don't punish the whole group for a few bad apples. Many illegal immigrants only come here to pursue a better job and life for themselves and their family.

How incredibly exasperating.

The REASON why we have immigration laws in the FIRST place is to WEED OUT the bad from the good.

Why is that so difficult to understand?

If you're needed, and if you pass the test: health, criminal background check, you're "in." It's not that hard. People spending thousands to be smuggled in are 1) not THAT needy if they have thousands, and 2) jumping the line and taking the place of someone else who might be 100X more deserving or needy.

Since a lot of illegal sympathizers on this board are "Chicano" affiliated racists, however, they don't understand how people of OTHER nationalities have THEIR chances reduced to come to the US and work.

Neither do they care.

people are not going to cross legally until its free and quick. by not reforming our immigration process, we are shooting ourselves in the foot. we have the means to take away illegal crossing incentives, tackle the health and crime issue, all in one fell swoop... but we dont do it. our fault.

Yep, everything is our fault. Such is the defining characteristic of a bleeding-heart: self-loathing guilt.
