Letter to the Mayor of Sand Diego: (illegal immigrants, laws, campaign)

This is a real letter written to the lazy Mayor os San Diego, CA, who is allowing its city to become Mexico City.


Mayor Sanders,

I am quite frankly sick and tired of hearing your lies. At one time I
was a supporter of yours and I am now ashamed to say, even voted for
you.

I have heard you on the Roger Hedgecock show now on numerous occasions
addressing the issue of illegal aliens in the sanctuary city of San
Diego and more specifically those living in our canyons and near our
neighborhoods. I have wanted to believe you on many occasions. I
have seen you battle the City Attorney on other topics on many
occassions. While I suspected you were being less than truthful many
times, I decided to find out first hand.

Since we live with the illegal aliens roaming our streets drunk at
night and urinating where they please with impunity and SDPD will do
nothing about it, we had a good hunch that your assessment of what
exists in McGonigle Canyon was either grossly incorrect or a blatant
lie. Some neighbors and I decided to go and get a first hand look for
ourselves. We decided to take the "grain of salt" you mentioned and
more carefully inspect it. Our findings were not only shocking, but
quite disheartening that someone such as yourself would willfully
deceive us and the rest of the San Diego citizens. We are now
inclined to side with the groups such as the Minutemen and will likely
find out how we can join them. If they are vigilantes and that is the
only way to get this problem taken care of, then we need more
vigilantes since you and the police are knowingly and wilfully not
enforcing the law.

What we saw was far worse than the channel 10 news accounts on the
Friday just before the firestorm, of what was there. There are too
many shacks and other evidence of "camping" to count. The filth is
indescribable and literally sickening. The news story on channel 10
didn't begin to display how bad it really is. I am ashamed to even
have the thoughts that since you will do nothing to remove these
criminals from our neighborhoods that I am almost grateful they are
bringing their prostitutes into their filthy habitat so they leave our
children alone. My fear is that this will not always be the case.

Your most recent claim that you are giving "48 hour notices" is absurd
and yet another lie. These criminal aliens have zero regard for the
laws of our nation. Whatever makes you think they care about some "48
hour notice"? The evidence is there in plain sight for everyone,
including you, to see. At best, they will just move to some other
dump site IF they are even confronted by law enforcement at all. Why
don't you personally take a tour of McGonigle Canyon so you can find
out for yourself how sickening it really is? Can we citizens be
offered the same "48 hour" policy and camp on any city property we
desire with open campfires, cooking stoves and open porta-potties at
the nearest tree or behind the nearest bush? Will you direct SDPD to
allow every citizen who wants to, to set up a campsite on a beach or
in a city park, allowing them to have sex in public, leaving the used
condoms at the "campsite" along with all their other trash? Can
citizens get a free 48 hour camp where they want pass? How about
waiving all permit requirements to build "temporary camping
structures" on city (or private) land wherever we want? This is as
absurd as what you are allowing to occur right now.

The right thing to do would be to routinely, actively and methodically
comb the canyon and detain EVERYONE encountered for determination of
legal status by ICE. Anyone not here legally should be turned over to
ICE and anyone who is here legally or who is a citizen should be cited
for every violation they have committed. Those who cannot provide
proof of a legal residence should be held in jail until their case can
be heard. The city should immediately remove all trash including
shacks, sleeping facilities, human feces, condoms, cooking equipment,
containers, and all other garbage. In any locations which is not city
property, the owners should be required to remove such items
immediately.

Mr Mayor, you should be ashamed that you have placed the value of what
you have gained from whoever it is who is paying you (one way or
another) to "look the other way" when it comes to this scourge on our
city, above the rule of law and what is simple common decency. You
can be assured that I and an increasing number of my neighbors will be
doing everything we can to ensure that you are not reelected to
continue your pattern of lying to the citizens of San Diego, and
worse, endangering us and our children by allowing criminal illegal
aliens to roam free to satisfy the desires of those who must be lining
your pockets or campaign coffers with cash. There is no other
imaginable explanation for what you are doing. You should either
maintain whatever dignity and honor you might yet have and resign
without fanfare or, REMEMBER THIS WHEN YOU LOOSE OFFICE IN TOTAL
DISGRACE! On second thought, this might not really effect one who has
no genuine conscience. We will be following the money and examining
with a "bright light" all who contribute to your campaign. They will
be made aware of this.

Since the San Diego Police Department is obviously taking orders from
above and doing nothing to rid our neighborhood of these drunken
criminals, there are an ever increasing number of us who are
discussing the situation and what we can best do about it in addition
to the slow and tedious process of removing you from office and
replacing the top levels in the police department. It pains me to
hear a young mother lament how she cannot let her children go outside
to play and is afraid to go outside of her own home in what should be
a very nice and safe area of San Diego due to your policies.

Are you going to take personal responsibility when one of these
drunken criminals rapes (or God forbid worse) one of our kids? Simply
waiting for the growing season to be over so the cheap labor need is
gone is a pathetic response to this problem. Know this, WE WILL HOLD
YOU PERSONALLY responsible if and when something terrible happens to
any of our children as a result of YOUR actions (and inaction). If
the law does not allow us to hold you criminally responsible, then
civil action will be another option.

We are sick and tired and want our city, the safety of our
neighborhoods and the ability to enjoy our lives in San Diego, back.
We are extremely disappointed that for whatever yet to be determined
reason, you are working against this. You will be held accountable
one way or another. We WILL take our city back from what can only be
described as your corrupt and evil criminal-enabling policies. We
want the law enforced! Since you will not do it, we must seek
alternatives.

In addition to notifying my congressman about your willful misconduct
and making some specific requests about that, I will be forwarding
this letter on to many of my neighbors and associates so they too will
have a better understanding of your deceitful public position with
regard to public safety and the rule of law in what used to be and can
again be when you are out of office, a great city to live in.

This is not only an issue of illegal aliens, migrant workers,
undocumented, or whatever you want to call these people. It is an
issue of public safety and quality of life in our city. If employers
need the labor provided by these people so badly, the employers should
be forced to hire workers LEGALLY, and ensure they are paid a wage
sufficient enough for the people to live in conditions fit for human
beings. The conditions which exist in the canyons now are not.
Making employers hire people LEGALLY is the second step in correcting
this problem. For you to turn your head and look the other way when
employers obviously violate the law and hire people illegally is yet
another indication of your corrupt nature. It is simply not
acceptable to the citizens of this city nor of a vast majority of
Americans.

(Note to staff member reading this for the Mayor: If you have
children, please think of what it would be like knowing that your boss
is directly responsible for putting them in danger of being raped or
worse. Please forward this on to the Mayor so he has a clear
understanding of how we, the people of San Diego feel about his
actions. Thanks.)

Can you explain the rationale for how you assessed that particular observation of the person who wrote the letter as "ignorant"? Am I to understand that you refute the letter-writer's observation as invalid?

Ignorant - Lacking Knowledge or awareness in general.

The line is a sweeping generalization of all those illegal immigrants, it depicts how this person views illegals, where they do no good and only bad. It projects ignorance and I would shove it to the side as an emotional rant.

Good letter! Maybe if EVERY MAYOR IN EVERY CITY received a similar outcry from their citizens, they'd start doing something about illegals. If they don't do something, vote them OUT! And hey, demand a law like we have in Oklahoma....
