The apologists for foreign invaders / aka / illegal immigrants raise the defense that it's a desire for "opportunity" and "economic freedom". The REAL DAMAGE to America is an influx of people who have no heritage of individual rights superior to the collective rights of government. Only in America, is there a republican form of government - at least it is still on the books despite 80 years of democratic socialism.

Illegals who have no expectation of their individual rights being secure, will 'join up' with subgroups that offer protection, and hence not have allegiance to the American people at large nor respect for the government that should serve them. By violating the laws to enter this country, they have demonstrated disrespect and disregard for government. Yet, they avail themselves of every benefit and opportunity, that they have not paid for, nor owe allegiance. In short, they are thieves and parasites benefiting at the expense of the host. As their numbers grow, so will their arrogance and willingness to TAKE as much as they can get away with.

Shame on the Federal government for letting foreign nationals invade our nation. They are subjects of a foreign government, without any respect for our laws. They have no commonality with the language and customs of the American people. They have no allegiance to the people of the United States of America, nor respect for their persons and property. And the American people are fools for allowing them in, letting them siphon off prodigious benefits. Americans have thus surrendered their country and deprived their posterity, who will become strangers in their own land.

Failure to prosecute, punish and deter these invaders is one of the greatest acts of treason to the American people by a bankrupted, venal government filled with lying predators and scoundrels.

She also has a degree in Philosophy, which I think that her child will have picked up some of the principles from this experience as well...

We're gonna have quite a few kids hell-bent on becoming immigration lawyers and/or politicians...

Can you point out what was so terrible in that response? You are making this into much more of an issue than what it really is. You've claimed that the crowd laughed at the little girl, which never happened, etc. Your interjection of DesJarlais' past has nothing to do with his response to the little girl or any other in the town hall meeting. You have attempted to discredit him because of some hatred you have against him.

It is mostly the pro-illegal sympathizers that disagree with me and that just means I must be on the right side of this issue. I am glad that was confirmed.

Pathetic and classless.
It is what it is. ILLEGAL aliens like her father are classless like other criminals.

I am no believer in coincidence when it comes to politics. They took the child to a political event. The child just happens to have a father who is an illegal and a mother who is an activist. No chance that the parents coached the child? They have no interest in trying to put the Congressman on the spot? None? Using a child as a tool is not unheard of and some might say a common practice among activists. Using kids as the hammer in the illegal immigration debate is quite common. In fact it is one of the top excuses why we shouldn't deport illegals.
You disregard that the child may have been used as a tool. Directly or indirectly she was.
You stated that the congressman should have asked how he could help her father. Should the congressman also ask a child whose father is going to jail how he can help prevent his prison term? I don't think so. He answered the question. We have laws and we need to enforce our laws. He was polite and he was factual.
Now if he was rude and said something like: "Look kid your oldman is a criminal and he deserves whatever happens, sucks to be you." I would be all over his butt for treating a child that way.

So then why didn't she make the choice to bring him over legally?

This family has had and has plenty of legal choices. What possible reason is there to reward them for ignoring the laws of this country? They can all go back home, they can straddle the border like Emily and her former illegal are now doing. Or they can split up if they choose.

It may or may not be canned but it's no different than a child whose father is in prison for extortion or rape or armed robbery thinking that because her father is the one who broke the law that he should have special rights and be above the law so he can stay living with the father.

These criminals made a choice to break the laws. They should not be given any reward whatsoever --- and they are not superior to those who choose to abide by our laws and wait their turn and prepare themselves to come here legally.

What is truly shameful is how these criminals exploit their own children, actually having children for the purpose of getting around the immigration laws.
