San Francisco is once again leading the way - this time with a proposal that would appear to make it the first county in the nation to unequivocally refuse to detain immigrants suspected of living here illegally for federal authorities.

S.F. law proposed to ban immigrant detentions - SFGate

Hasn't Obama already ordered that illegal aliens won't be detained unless they are "convicted" felons? What's new here?

Nothing new. Just SF once again showing itself to be the bunch of crazy people that have no concept of enforcing laws no matter how many US citizens illegal aliens kill.

"Leading the way".

Wouldn't it be awesome if the San Andreas fault cleaved California into the ocean so it could float off and become its own little weird country?

Not all of Cali is that messed up; that seems to be more of a "coast" thing. The problem is many of that state's kooky laws ain't needed in places like Needles and so on.

Dallas isn't much better, really. Illegals live and work here with impunity. They know they're not going to get caught. Dallas is a sanctuary city.
