If you saw the "guest" he had on tonight and his segment on what he kept calling "immigration" instead of "illegal immigration", I know you are probabaly as disgusted as I am I usually respect Bill Moyers for bringing attention to the political corruption that is going on in Washington and not being reported on by the regular, mainstream media, but he really dropped the ball on this issue.

Why is it so many otherwise intelligent people "confuse" those two terms almost as much as ILLEGAL vs LEGAL?
Did some research and I think I may have found the transcripts for the interview, check it out about 1/3 of the way down on the page, it starts with:
BILL MOYERS: Back in the summer it looked as if we were about to get a new immigration policy, thanks in no small part to an unlikely alliance between President Bush and leading Democrats. But the night before the vote, a tidal wave of angry phone calls swept across Capitol Hill and shut down the switchboard. The next day the bill was defeated. The country is once again polarized between immigrants and their supporters and those who would have them driven out. At times, it's been more brawl than debate.
The "guest" he had on spouted absolutely every catch phrase the pro-illegal activists use just over and over again to the point it got absolutely nauseating. He, and Bill Moyers, did the immigrants who have immigrated to this country through the proper channels, lawfully and legally, and who WANT to assimilate and become Americans in this great country of ours, a horrible, horrible disservice. All it did was confirm what I have felt to be the truth all along. These people want to come here and take ADVANTAGE of what our country will do for them, or give them, but want nothing more than to continue their loyalty to their native country, force us to cater to THEIR culture, language, etc, come in droves over our borders, and we are supposed to be O.K. and accepting of that. If we do not, this guest on Mr. Moyers show dared to suggest that we are not being good Christians, or are bigoted, etc. It was an absolutely disgusting insult to the good, decent, and hard working law abiding citizens of the United States...
Thank you for the quick find of the transcripts of the show. I have fired off an angry e-mail to NPR and NOW with Bill Moyers. I am just a simple American mother trying to work, eek out a living, and raise two kids, but I think I speak for many others when I have to stop and ask myself in recent years:
"WHAT IN THE WORLD IS HAPPENING TO MY COUNTRY....?"
