ProLogic, I believe other locales know what has happened in Los Angeles here with the de-emphasis on the lingua franca of the entire U.S.A., English. The immigrants, both legal and illegal, do not necessarily know English since both the civic government and many media outlets circumvent it. Frequently, we encounter signs in Los Angeles for the same business in spanish, Korean, Cyrillic Armenian, with no translation whatsoever in English. This is deliberate, and pretty nasty when you think about it.

We have embarked on a plan of national suicide. Jefferson Davis would be ecstatic that his plan of disunion may yet be realized.

I understand your fears------I live in Arizona.

Just that things are starting to swing the other way against this multicultural crap.

There is hope yet of the 'way of the WASP'*

*WASP anymore refers to any true blue American of any race/ethnicity.

Oh? Someone from Wells Fargo called me last week. They wanted to extend some offer I'd somehow gotten approved for to get a car. I told him in Polish that I already had a car and that he should slaughter a pig and eat it. His response was "uhhhhh....no habla espanol" click.

Greatest laugh I'd had in a while.

Personally, I don't like the idea of bending over backwards for a group of people who's only goal is to better themselves and their own family (screw everyone else..).. and the only way they know how is by breaking the law.

My great-grandmother has never become a full-fledged American. She had the right papers to be here legally and indefinitely - but because she felt she did not know enough English to be an American, she stayed a Polish-National. If the citizenship test can be taken in Spanish, why can't she take it in Polish?

That would be because she is not of the chosen people. I also agree with the rest of your post.

I wasn't aware that we offered our citizenship test in Spanish; and you have to demonstrate proficiency in English to become a naturalized citizen. Do you have a source for that?

Maybe he was right about states rights. Today, it looks like the states are
the only form of government getting anything done. Especially when it comes
to immigration ENFORCEMENT.

Duh. As their own president said (to paraphrase), "wherever mexicans are, there is mexico." That's where the loyalty of the illegals is. If they're here speaking spanish and cannot speak English, chances are, they are illegals. No way is this good for the United States? Duh.

This is true, this is about what our own country has got us in to..it's not a race thing..cause technically bilingual speaking Americans have an advantage in employment..we should teach our children spanish..I'm for anything making my kids smarter.
