The headline should read, "GOP Shuts the Door on Amnesty for Illegal Aliens."

They came here illegally and are criminals. They should ALL be sent back home! As for the children born here, have them return with their parents to their native countries with the provisos that, when they reach 18, they can return as full American citizens.

Sounds fair to me.

They didn't exactly slam the door. What they are saying is they'll do it piecemeal -- rather than a huge blanket amnesty that rewards anyone and everyone who breaks into this country illegally.

I think they've pushed through about all they can at the Federal level without raising alarms. Now, on the State level

So we apparently we have unlimited money to deport millions of people and unlimited money for defense and security. Talk about a nation with it's priorities straight...

Or we pass laws that make E-Verify mandatory for all businesses and landlords . We impose stiff penalties for anyone who knowingly hires an illegal or fails to use the E-verify system.
Make life impossible for illegals and they will self deport.
Deportation is not the only tool in the box. I know the Dems want everyone to believe that either we grant an amnesty or we go broke trying to deport people. Really there is other options.
How about we seize the assets of any illegal caught to help offset the cost of their deportation?

Not only that but it costs us billions every year to allow these illegal aliens to remain here. Deportation would be a one time expense. Even Homeland Security said it is cheaper to deport them but I am with you ideally making e-verify mandatory, removing any benefit incentives and birthright citizenship and many would self-deport there is literally no expense involved in that.

It's a misnomer to call it reform.
It's an amnesty bill and expanded visa bill.
