Let me tell you why this particular woman is concerned.
I have a son who has already dealt with the consequences of our porous borders. We moved from Texas to California when my son was six years old. He was excelling in school when we left Texas and had been recommended for the gifted and talented program at his school.
My fiance was teaching at UC Riverside at the time, so we moved into an apartment near the University. My son began to attend the local public school. Within two to three days, my son, who had always eagerly looked forward to school days, began to beg me not to make him go. He told me that the other children in his class were mean to him and that the teacher would not intervene in their bullying.
Now I had only seen the office of this school when I enrolled my son. The office staff and people in authority that I saw were a racially diverse lot (African American, Asian, white, and Hispanic) and seemed quite pleasant and everyone was speaking English. This was not the case when I went to see my son's teacher. Because my son was still in kindergarten at this point, I went between the morning and afternoon sessions. My son went to the afternoon session and I thought it would be a good time to get a look at the kids my son said picked on him continuously.
I stood at the door of the locked classroom and knocked. The teacher turned around, looked at me and went back to what she was doing. I knocked again, she turned around and looking extremely exasperated, came and opened the door with an abrupt, "Yes?"
I told her who I was and asked her to help me to understand why my son, who had always loved school, seemed to be having such a difficult time in her class. In a heavily accented (Spanish) voice she told me, "Your son, he needs to try harder." I couldn't believe my ears. I explained to her that we had recently moved from Texas where my son had loved school and never had the problems he seemed to be having at her school. In the same tone of voice she again told me that my son needed to try harder. About that time, children started filing into the classroom chattering excitedly--in Spanish. About 20 kids entered the room and not one of them was speaking English. The teacher proceeded to tell them to take their seats quietly--in Spanish!
My poor little blonde headed, blue eyed son was the only American kid in the classroom. I found out from him later that the kids refused to speak English to him and that they would push him on the playground and that one kid always called him "blue-eyed devil" during recess. (Where do you think he learned that?) During it all, the teacher stood passively by. I yanked him out of that school that day. By the time I left, the entire office staff was thoroughly aware of just how angry I was. I ended up having to put him in a private school, thirty miles from home, at a cost of $400 per month. Needless to say, we moved out of Riverside County as soon as our lease expired.
That my child was unable to receive an American education in an American public school, in an American city, in an American state said more to me than I ever needed to know about illegal immigration. I really hadn't thought much about it up to that point. The town I lived in in Texas had not yet been touched by illegal immigration although that is no longer the case.
At that point, I became an activist.
I wish I could say that I had no further cause to resent illegal aliens, but that is not the case.
I was the victim of a hate crime, perpetuated by illegal aliens and their supporters. During a protest in Maywood, CA, we were directed by the police to the wrong area to park. While walking down the sidewalk with my friends, (two African Americans, one Asian, and one dark haired Caucasian) I was grabbed by a man screaming "Death to the Minutemen" (I am not a Minuteman) and thrown into the crowd of illegal aliens and their socialist supporters. They proceeded to beat me within an inch of my life for the wretched crime of being a blonde haired, blue eyed woman. (My friends were not touched or molested in any way) With the help of one elderly Mexican man who was crying as he repeated to me over and over again, "Lo siento, senorita, lo siento", I finally made it to the police barricade. As the policeman struggled to pull me over the barrier, the crowd continued to try to pull me back to the ground by my hair. Finally, he got me over the barrier and I left a big hank of my hair in someone's hands.
This kind of fits in with a comment I made in another thread about the lack of publicity anytime there is a hate crime against a white person. My rep was then dinged by someone who declared me to be disgraceful, because white people aren't lynched or some such nonsense. There were three network news cameras and reporters right behind the police line as I was hauled across the barrier, my clothes in tatters and bleeding from my lip (I was smacked in the face with a full water bottle by a Mexican man who was screaming "p*ta gringa" in my face as he hit me twice). They had come to interview both sides, but they turned off their cameras and ran. How would it look in Southern California of all places if they had to put a bruised and bleeding white woman who had been beaten by illegal aliens on network TV?
I now have three blown discs in my back and have suffered permanent sciatic nerve damage as a result of the beating. No one was ever arrested and charged even though I identified the man who had thrown me into the crowd.
Are these the kind of neighbors I want? Are these the kind of people I want my children associating with?
Illegal immigration is one of the big reasons we left California.
I live in Stockton, CA, and sometimes I was the only White kid in a classroom. I didn't really mind, everyone was nice. I never had a problem with them at all. It did seem questioning why there was so few Whites at the school, but I assumed most Whites either went to another school or were home-schooled.

Let me mix it up for you guys. I live in a 70% White neighborhood and a 70% white school. I'm like the only Mexican kid in all of my classes. And theres only 1 or 2 in a couple of other ones. A lot of Mexicans that go to my school are half. Never had a problem with anyone except when all the kids from the Ghettos/Barrios came and started fighting a lot which led to the discontinuation of our Tutorial period. Besides that, never had a problem. And yes, some of my cousins are annoyed by my repetitive use of the word 'dude'.
I'm a female and it doesn't bother me..the act..what bothers me is that leagal aliens that pay there way here and follow the rules..and end up being citizens..and our own citizens get treated worse then illeagals just for a political vote?!?..when is America going to see this is not being harsh they just need to follow the rules just like the rest of us!!

Where in the Bay Area do you live? If you're one of the only Mexicans in your class, my guess is you're not anywhere in Hayward, San Leandro, Oakland or Union City. I went to Logan, there was every race EXCEPT white people at that school, much like you say, maybe 2 or 3 in each class. You must be more upscale, like Alameda.

Nah, I don't need to look it up, I've been to Castro Valley quite a few times. There's an Ice cram parlor I believe off A-street I've been to quite a few times. I just saw Hayward in you post and having lived off Tennyson I knew 1-2 Mexicans in a class was impossible.
Like some other people have said, it does seem like a lot of illegals are disrespectful towards women, especially white ones... Always leering, making rude comments, grabbing, etc. Things that an American NORMALLY wouldn't do. Of course there are exceptions.
Last year I was at a bar and there was a Mexican guy there, wearing a knock-off Mexico soccer jersey who didn't speak English. He casually grabbed a friend of mine's wife's ass and then just kind of looked at her like it was no big deal, like it was ok to do and then went on to leer at almost every woman in the bar. When he went to the bathroom, I ended up following him and laying him out when he walked out. He never came back.
Our women should not have to put up with this sort of behavior from anyone, I don't care if it's ok in their culture. Welcome to ours.

Yea.. I'm Mexican and Mexicans seem to do that a lot.. especially in Mexico. Not to the point of grabbing someones bottom though. My mom is very beautiful and seem to stare at her a lot. It makes me really mad.
