But by that logic, if the person driving had been a US citizen, you might as well say, "Had that guy's mother not f_____ that guy's father, that guy wouldn't have been here, and that kid would still be alive." It doesn't wash.

Not a good analogy. Citizens have a right to be here.

The majority of Americans are required to have auto insurance.

It is both as illegals drink and drive and do not carry insurance at disproportionate rates.

My father in law was hit and badly injured by a drunk driver. It was a hit and run but they caught up with him later. He too was an illegal without insurance.
