<<I believe the young ladies that clean the hotels do a wonderful job>>
Really? You may want to rethink that, because it would appear you get what you pay for. If you hire cheap workers, like illegal aliens, you're likely to get substandard work. Google 'dirty hotel rooms.'
How bout if you have dirty owners that want the girls to stay only 15 min in a room.
I travel all across this country, I know motel rooms, its the independent owner, that cuts corners on cleanliness.
If you tell the housekeeper to good job and give them reasonable time, they get it done.

I somewhat agree here. I do know of some hotel owners that give their maids a mere 15 minutes to clean a room and it is literally impossible, therefore the rooms don't get cleaned efficiently. Regardless of legal status it can't be done. But again, there are hotel maids that do a shoddy job regardless of legal status or the length of time they are given to clean rooms.
I wonder why people dont care if a company move to a third world country and has shirts sewn for pennies on the dollar, but they cant handle the compatition here. Let the best man have the job. If someone wants to work for minimum wage, why should I hold a job for someone that wants 15 bucks an hour.
An that bunk that a man cant raise a family on 8 bucks, why can the immagrant do it...
I don't know of many Americans who aren't opposed to both outsourcing and illegal alien labor in our country. They both hurt the American worker.
The best man for the job is the American or legal immigrant who works the hardest or is the most knowledgeable and will work for a FAIR wage. Hiring illegal aliens regardless of the above is unacceptable according to our laws. The best man for the job may not be the one asking for less money either. Sometimes you get what you pay for.

Exactly right. Not to mention that not 1 illegal has any right what so ever to work here.

umm because the IRS, and a slew of other Agencies will hold you accountable. You sound just like a guy I used to work with and would hire illegal labor to flip houses. Right up until he got busted for not having any work up to code and ended up ch 13 because he had to tear down and rebuild 5 houses. He eventually walked away from his lil sham and stuck it to the banks.

Then thats on the supervisor checking the cleaner...and the owner.
if the girls doing a bad job...fire her
if the supervior is doing a bad job...fire them
and it the owner is doing a bad job, by keeping both...i stay some where else.

The difference between me and your friend, is that I have never hired illegal labor.
And Im sure I wouldnt be friends with anyone that knowingly would.
An employer has certain advantages in hiring an illegal, all of them involving money. The illegal is willing to take less money because he does not have to worry about paying into Social Security, income taxes or etc. So it is a win win for both the employer and the illegal and a lose lose for Americans who are just starting out in the job market. Until we make it VERY expensive and RISKY to hire illegals, the employers are going to keep doing it.

and this is something we can do without it costing americans one dime of money.
just enforce the laws on the books and make e-verify mandatory for all jobs.
