There's quite a bit of naive talk here. The low-level Mexican troops are the least corruptible of the factions involved. Once you have each side trying to kill the other (cartels against the military and police) there are very few double-agents. The cartel members wearing military uniforms make more sense, and even that is very hazardous because they can be discovered in acting the part.

Agreed tho there are ways of "handling" traitors and they ain't real nice IF things did hit the fan with Mexico. Too; the la raza traitors would need to watch out for Chicanos who WILL back up the US over Mexico.

Uh; not always. Look at our Civil War: it was def many people of the SAME race and many times of the SAME family killing each other over different beliefs.
