Excellent post ProLogic, I have the same observations. Greatday I'm curious where in the heck maids make 50K a year, can you provide stats on that. I've been to Las Vegas probably 10 times in my life, and have only seen Latino women cleaning the hotel rooms in Las Vegas. Yes from the Penthouse to the Outhouse hotels, from a Rio Suite to Super 8.
The majors on the Strip - it is well known in Vegas - I live there. Visitors have no clue
What happens in Vegas Stays in Vegas
There are many ethnic backgrounds who are maids in Vegas: Anglo, Hispanic, Asian (a lot of Phillipinno - who are often mistaken for hispanics), European (Swedish, German, Italian)
Las Vegas is the most ethnically diverse city in the United States (according to the US Census Bureau in 2000)
Kids who park cars at the Majors often earn 60/70/100+k a year being a valet
A good Bellman at a major may get upwards of 150/200K a year
I belive the law will benefit Arizona by getting rid of the illegal scum, stealing jobs from needy americans. The businesses affected by this law have had no trouble filling empty slots with American Citizens.
What makes you think the law will be enforced? I understand no one has been arrested in the new OKlahoma Illegal Immigration Law.
I guarantee it in AZ - the county attorney's offices are geared up - employers are already checking status and terminating -
Here it WILL BE ENFORCED
BTW - all it will take is for one, or two, test cases. The first time that a business loses their license to do business .....
