...Your city can turn into Detroit or Philly (not a good thing)
10,000 people a day retiring from all over the country will buy up those homes, buy the cars.........

10,000 people a day are moving to Phoenix? I'm talking about 500,000 people leaving from a single city (Phoenix).

Of course!! All the illegals leaving the USA is a benefit in the large picture...but for a single city to lose that many folks is not a good thing. It is a catch 22. That is why I brought up Detroit. That city is a mess...many of the residents left.

What if they wanted to leave anyway? What could we do but brace ourselves. I believe we will survive the exodus, if in fact it is taking place.

Have to respectfully disagree.

AZ spent over 1 Billion dollars in 2006 to pay for issues related to illegal immigrants -

Trust me - that 1 billion will go to the good of the citizens of this state

BTW, you are incorrect in all the illegals leaving are from one city -

For perspective only - do you live in Arizona? And, if so, for how long?

As for me - I live in Arizona. Was born here. 60 years.

I don't know. It always seems that there are more illegals that what is believed. 500,000 illegals seems like a fair number for a city the size of Phoenix (plus we are near the border).

That is an estimate for the entire state of Arizona - not Phoenix

Live in Surprise. For less then a year.

Just Moved from So Cal (10 years).

Was born and raised in Las Cruces, NM.

However, for the last 6 years or so I have spent about 1-2 months per year in the area. Visiting family, coming to ball games, etc.
