Why can't we help build a decent hospital for them close by to have their children on their own land. Teach them how to keep and take of their own medically. This has to be cheaper than 18-? yrs of taking care of the child. If they join a gang we take care of them for life.

LOL Why can't/won't Mexico take care of their own problems?

Ready access to morning-after pills and abortions would be even cheaper than that. But of course the "pro-life" crowd (some of whom, oddly enough, fantasize about shooting Mexicans dead) would have none of that.
And besides, abortion is illegal in every Mexican border state except Coahuila.
A Mexican national residing in Mexico who temporarily crosses the US border with no intention of staying in the US is not breaking any US laws.
No more so than I, a US citizen, crosses the border into Mexico at Lukeville, AZ. to enjoy a weekend in Puerto Penasco for some fun at "Manny's Beach Club" and some fresh prawns.
So when will you invite me to your house so i can come eat your food, shower, and use up your resources for free ?
Who is going to get stuck with the hospital bills? Answer me that.
That's irrelevant to your claim that those women are somehow behaving "illegally" by crossing the border to seek medical treatment. They aren't.
And how do you know they're all getting that care for free, anyway? Do you have contacts in the billing department at the hospital in Columbus or something?
You also seem to have missed the bit in the OP's article where it mentions the fact that medical services on the Mexican side have been beefed up, resulting in 50% fewer cross-border trips by EMTs.
So what's your solution? Seal the border like North Korea and only allow the most carefully vetted individuals (after interviewing them thoroughly to determine their "intentions") to obtain visitors' visas?
