While President George W. Bush, ICE, and Congress act as if the U.S. had no immigration laws and no borders, some heroic local officials and private organizations have nevertheless sought, against all odds, to enforce and uphold immigration law. And every time they have done so, the ACLU has been there to fight them, on behalf of the criminals invading America.

A study of the tactics of local ACLU chapters across the country and the national ACLU reveals a distinct, coordinated strategy of six components:

1. Abusing the English language, by referring to illegal immigrants as “immigrants” and “undocumented workers,” in order to make it seem as if illegal immigrants, all of whom are criminals (and in the case of those who have previously been deported, felons), were law-abiding, legal residents;

Personally, me and the ACLU aren't speaking, and they don't disappoint me, because I long ago gave up expecting anything worthwhile out of them. I expect them to conduct themselves like rebellious, immature 12-year olds, and they seldom surprise me.

Too bad, because at one time they had a pretty worthwhile agenda. They really did do some brave things, going against popular opinion to champion the unfortunate, and "do the right thing".

But that was long ago. The stuff the ACLU gets involved in now is 95% just plain ridiculous. It's a shame, because they've lost just about all their once-great credibility. In fact, I'd REALLY be worried if I found myself AGREEING with them anymore.

So when I hear about the ACLU taking a position on ANYTHING, I ask myself "OK, how would a group of 12-year-olds approach this same issue, if they were mad at the adults, and wanted to make a spectacle of themselves?" And normally, the answer to that is pretty close to what the ACLU is doing. It's a pretty accurate "rule of thumb".

I agree with you and John1960 as the ACLU seems to represent and defend everyone but law abiding American Citizens. I have had many differences with them. If they acted like this in the 50s and 60s they would have been labeled Communists

What does the "American" mean in "American Civil Liberties Union", I wonder? They'll grab at any politically correct position, and defend it, no matter WHO they happen to be representing, even if it's not someone who's legally in the U.S. What a bunch of pansies.

I do believe that the ACLU will also be on the firing table as far as the illegals go if they keep up these antics.
Because I think that We The People are sending a message loud and clear about our displeasure regarding the illegals in our country!

Keep it up fellow Americans because it is working!

Seems you have little understanding of what the ACLU does.

The ACLU doesn't determine what the Constitution says, nor does the ACLU decide what the law says.

What the ACLU does is make sure the government abides by the Constitution and adheres to the rule of law.

This country would be an autocratic fascist state without organizations like the
ACLU defending the rule of law and the Constitution.

Just because you'd like to have an un Constitutional law passed doesn't make the ACLU any different than it ever was.

The only difference is now you want to enact un Constitutional laws or you don't feel it's necessary to adhere to the rule of law.

If there is a problem here, .....it's not with the ACLU...

How do they do this :

"What the ACLU does is make sure the government abides by the Constitution and adheres to the rule of law."

With out doing this:

"The ACLU doesn't determine what the Constitution says, nor does the ACLU decide what the law says."

Seems they would need to know what the Constitution says and what the law says before they could see the the government follows it ! And in there some where lies the problem with the ACLU today....

YES the ACLU also fights for NAMBLA North american man boy love association. In other words a club for pedophiles that exchanges pornograghic material, arranges for places for adult men and boys to meet. A disgusting immoral aliance if there ever was one. The ACLU is in bed with these types of orgs. Sorry They may claim to be on the side of constitutional law but their track record speaks volumes.

The ACLU only takes the issues to court, you have a problem with how the courts rule, complain about the courts.

The ACLU doesn't issue the rulings from the bench....
