So let me get this straight....our US gov would deport Justin Bieber for egging a house, but will turn illegals loose on the public who have committed murder, rape, numerous DUI offenses......got it!

Didn't any of you get the memo? Illegals are all honest hard working people who deserve to get special consideration over all those idiots who respected our country enough to obey our laws and wait until they are granted a VISA.
Hey all those criminals could be Chemical engineers if only we gave them the chance.

The 36,000 that they are talking about were not illegals but legal residents with a green card so they were not citizens nor illegals. One of the conditions of holding a green card giving a person legal residency is that they do not break the law. If a legal resident breaks the law they must appear in front of an immigration judge to determine if they will be allowed to remain in the U.S. or loose their legal residency and be deported back to the country in which they came. While awaiting their court date they may bond out. It is also very rare for an immigration judge to allow a convicted criminal of a felony to remain in the U.S. and are ordered to leave the country if not in custody and those in custody are immediately returned to their originating country. I process these cases everyday.
