Mayor Phil Gordon's efforts to resolve the day-labor protests at M.D. Pruitt's Home Furnishings have come to a stalemate.

Salvador Reza, who has led demonstrations at the furniture store for two months in protest of the off-duty Maricopa County sheriff's deputies patrolling the neighborhood for day laborers, said he will not meet until the deputies go away.

This Reza guy is an idiot-------why I say that is if he would have much more credibility if he used protesters who were in the USA legally.

All his kind are doing is giving free ammunition to the anti illegal immigration folks (like myself) for stricter enforcement of the law.

I swear; ever since the Mexican flag waving faux pas at the illegal immigrant 'rights' marches in early 2006, the pro illegal crowd are doing an excellent job of shooting themselves in their collective feet.

Great point, ArizonaBear

As far as I'm concerned, all Pro-Illegal Rights GOONS are nothing but "aiders and abetters" and it is high time the authorities begin treating them as such.

On a positive note, the courts around the country seem to be agreeing and acting according.

I agree AB. Those marches, that were most likely organized by citizens and legal residents with an agenda, set them back 10 years or more.
